THE GANGS ALL HERE

After the small, but nonstop leak in 660g system and unfortunate loss of some favorites, all the others are housed temporarily in the 300g with its stock. 2 weekly WCs and nominal feeding should get me through a few weeks, until the 660g system is back up.
660g SYSTEM PLANS
Переглядів 1043 місяці тому
I considered a total teardown and smaller ( 150g - 265g ) glass tank or just ending the tank entirely or fixing the failure.. Im gonna fix the failure. New inner back wall with fiberglass on all seams and edges and thick Pond Armor.. The 300g will get 2-3 WCs weekly until moved back.

( 100 MICRON - FUEL FILTER ) I have a 10 micron fuel filter between tank outlet and electric pump. Ive been working on my new family member every possible minute. I started riding in this car, almost 54 years ago. It has been mostly parked for the past 35 years. Ive recently started to go through it. Here is a bit of whats going on and so much more to do.
What would you do ???

Trying to decide if I should move the Tiger Oscar back into 300g tank.. I had moved both Oscars into 450g about 8-9 months ago.. He is getting a bit too pushy in the 450g

Thanks for the visit
Luvin dat cuban it's 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Beautiful cichlids 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾on the video
When the 450g tank is back running, I consider a few cool tankmates for him..
Beautiful and the water is so clear!!!
What kind of Oscar
1 Red Oscar and 1 Tiger Oscar
Very nice 👌
It doesn’t make sense that you have that middle section both glass pieces a few inches off the bottom that means the water is gonna run under both of them instead of going into the sponge and up and then back over another piece of glass and back down the way you have it makes no sense you’re only using a quarter sponge
It simply allows water to pass through filter pads and then travel through media from bottom and top.
@ the water would never go that high in your sump to go over the top of those sponges so if the water gets that high your top of the sponges are just basically sitting in the water instead of the water transferring through them. Those two pieces of glass should always be set to the water travels under one and goes over the other or goes over the first one and underneath the second one therefore, forcing the water to actually transfer through all the media.
They seem to be doing well. Good job !
Looking good. I hope it works out
Great looking fish
They're all looking good.
Glad it's back and running. Wish you have a video of the kind of damages and how you repaired it. Sorry for your lost.
Actually the 660g system isnt repaired yet. Im gathering all needed parts and about to get it resolved. I will do video of the issue and video of repair.
Dude that sucks I hope you get it up and going
Thanks for thought.. I had those for a while.. Lots of repair stuff already. A few weeks still to be fixed.
Can't help but hear Charlie sheen in your voice. Great build mate
Tigers Blood !
Oh man. I'm so sorry. that really sucks.
Sorry about your losses.
Thanks for thoughts. I will process for a couple days and start the repair. Im confident it will turn out well, but wish the lost fish were still able to put back.😞
Sorry to hear about the leak, but sounds like you handled it perfectly. Now get that bad boy fixed and back online and looking beautiful! 😊
Deciding if Im gonna make some changes ??
@@FreeSwimmer Yeah now would be the perfect time to do it! 😊
Glad to hear everything survived and sounds like you have a gameplan for success going forward!
Well, apparently the fish in tub werent happy. I had to work today and get aquarium and some misc to move tub fish. Either lack of oxygen or residual cleaners got to them. Out of 10 only 3 made it. Very sad day. I put the 2 Oscars and Rhino Pleco in the 300g too, for now. I brought home a 150g tank for them yo hold out in. I think I will do a new seal in the 150g and set it up, after taking down the 660g system completely
😥😥😥😥
Survive a hurricane just to have a tank leak! Hope you get it all sorted soon mate.
Exactly.. It all went South today ! I am thinking that whole 660g system is coming down.. I will reseal the 150g I brought home today and set it up wiyh Severum and SDs
So cool
Thanks for the visit. I truly enjoy it. The fish have grown into some wild personalities.
Free food factory right there!
Is it fiberglass reinforced or just paint with water proofing? Nice tank!
Thanks.. Its a very exact fit build, thats glued and screwed and sanded. A 6-7 coating of pond armor. It becomes an unbelievably tough and waterproof membrane. Roughly the thickness of a credit card. I tested a trim piece with 2 coating and a hammer, hitting screwdriver. didnt even make a dent.
love those pipes, mine its a 2005 fxdl carburated and some long pipes, i hope to get some big radius sooon... have a great week
ate you located in ohio
No sir.. Im in the deep South
Glad to see the Cuban made it
He is getting back to himself
Happened to my mates Texas cichlid netted him out put your thumb in his mouth and grip the lower jaw with your pointer finger and gently reset that's definitely dislocated if you don't act fast it will bruise up go all black an will be stuck poor fella
Gods speed! ❤️
Hang in there...
Looks good
What thickness is your glass and measurements of the glass
Hello. Its 13ml thick, float glass w/beveled edges. Its 8ft wide x 2ft high.
Thank you I just unsure what glass or size just in beginning planning stage researching info thank you
Could I get the full measurements of your tank???
That Cuban is a gorgeous fish for sure
Hey man! How's the car coming along?
Hello.. Im going to do some videos soon. I completely cleaned and rustproofed and painted under car.I had all new American Autowire installed. Ive replaced steering and core support and inner wheel wells and all frontend and frame bushings. The engine is about to be assembled. Ive got the TH350 Tranny completely rebuilt and a new 3200rpm stall converter. Im taking out the stock 12 bolt rear and putting in a Quick Performance, Ford 9inch rear, that is being shipped in a week. Ill do an unboxing. I have all interior parts and shifter in spare room. Still lots to do. Thanks for asking !
Tank looking great as always!!!
That's not a plywood stand 😂 smh
Yes its a plywood stand. 👍 Well the top is.
I love Mr Petman the have sick reptiles and arthropods
Looking great! Can't wait to see all the progress!
I’ve got a soft spot for the fire mouths!
Agree. They are beautiful fish. They can stand their ground too.
Awesome build brother!!! Can’t wait to do this to my new under construction fish barn hahah
Definitely post video
@@FreeSwimmer oh for sure! I’m slowly getting the 3rd video together!! The heat in Michigan has been too hot lol like 100 out!! So my fish room is way too hot! 🤣
How far does the pond armour go? Like is there a square footage? I know you have to put multiple coats on.
Hello. Yes, the kit tells how much coverage at said thickness. I like 2-3 extra layers and extra for touch up.. I actually experimented with 1st kit, many years ago. I laid 1 heavy coat on an unprepped plywood board. 8 inch x 8 inch. I let it cure for 24 hours and man was that tough. A screwdriver and hammer could barely dent it. I think it wouldve held water like that, just fine. Im just a 6 coating kinda guy.
@@FreeSwimmer oh okay awesome I didn't see it before. And that's great, thank you so much and especially thanks for sharing these vids!
Super nice bike… I am doing the same on my FXR 1986, what is the dimension of the rear tyre you installed ?
It is a 150/70 B18 Michelin Commander
I have restored several cars from the 1960s and 1970s and I know how much work it requires. In my opinion, leave the Oscars in the second tank. New fish will arrive and there will be chaos here.
I would put both Oscars in and watch them. Putting both of them insures that it wouldn’t be just one new fish put in for every fish to test, and also the 2 Oscar can give each other support.
Great to see you again I always Love your aquariums . Great video and great looking fish.
You could probably get away with adding him because of size and temperament, but always need a back up plan. I find most time Oscars just ignore other fish and so their own thing
Hey freeswimmer, i seen in a prior video that you put the Styrofoam insulation underneath your plywood builds, would you also do it for a 500 gallon plywood build? With a 4x8 base?
I laid the 1" high density foam under all my builds.. Even the 1200g system. Its a habit I have.. I cannot say its actually needed with a big plywood build. The walls are less likely to come apart.. I simply like it that way. Its an extra $30 bucks maybe ?
@FreeSwimmer yeah I see, the 30 is not the problem it's lifting up the tank to get the Styrofoam underneath.
